Laser Markers

What is a laser marker?

A laser marker, also known as a laser coding machine, uses a laser beam to permanently etch or mark the surface of a material. This focused laser beam can be irradiated precisely onto the surface of the material, causing the surface to change color, texture and even structure. This is often used to create high precision markings, logos, serial numbers, barcodes or QR codes. This is vital for traceability, identification and branding.
Laser marking is a non-contact and highly accurate marking method that produces minimal wear on the material being marked.  Laser markers are able to work on a variety of materials and provide clear and permanent marks, making them valuable tools in industrial applications.

Laser marker laser power supply is a device to provide power for the laser, its input voltage is AC220V AC current.
Lasers can be roughly divided into fiber lasers, CO2 lasers and YAG lasers. These lasers provide a laser source for the laser marking system, and the selection of the laser source needs to consider the type of material to be marked and the required marking quality.
Lori galvanometer scanning system is composed of optical scanner and servo control. All systems apply cutting-edge technology, new materials, new production processes, new principles of design and manufacture. It has the advantages of large scanning angle, large peak torque, large load inertia, small electromechanical time constant, fast operation speed, smooth, safe and reliable.
Laser beam focusing is through a series of focusing optics, the parallel laser beam through the lens and mirror to focus the beam into a small and intense point. The focal length of the lens is not the same, the laser marking effect and range is not the same, the user can choose the type of lens according to the actual situation.
Laser marking system is controlled by a computer or programmable logic controller (PLC). Computer control system is the core of all laser marker control and command. The operator can enter the required marking pattern, text, graphics or barcode into the control software, and precisely control the position, depth and appearance of the marking through the computer control system.

Types of laser markers

Fiber laser marker is a very widely used model. It uses a fiber laser source, usually a solid-state laser, to produce a highly focused beam, which is then passed through a high-speed scanning galvanometer system to achieve the marking function. Fiber laser marker has high electro-optical conversion efficiency, good output beam quality and long service life. Machine this type is most suitable for metals such as stainless steel, aluminum, brass and other alloys, as well as some plastics. Fiber lasers are known for their high speed, high efficiency and high precision and are widely used in various industries.
CO2 laser marker is a high-performance laser equipment that realizes marking and engraving by expanding the laser beam, vibrating mirror, focusing, and finally by controlling the deflection of the galvanometer scanner. Its key core component laser can be divided into glass RF tube and metal RF tube. It is suitable for non-metallic materials such as wood, glass, plastic and ceramics. It is best suited for engraving logos, barcodes and text on light-colored or transparent materials. It provides smooth, clean markings with little to no distortion of the surface.
UV laser marker has a shorter wavelength of 355nm and provide finer details. Compared to infrared lasers, it is a truly cold laser that produces less heat. UV laser markers are ideal for marking fragile materials such as plastics, glass and thin coatings, providing ultra-precise marking with minimal heat impact. UV lasers are able to meet the standards of customers who demand a higher level of marking action and are widely used for high-end brands, medical devices and electronics.
